T-B.net: The chosen cast for the tv show are all wonderful and we’re really excited to see what each one will bring to our favorite characters. If you were to put on a play based on Sookie’s adventures, who would you choose for the main characters, i.e. Sookie, Bill, Sam, Eric, Pam, Jason?

If I were going to cast a play? I have a hard time imagining that, but I think I’d try Reese Witherspoon as Sookie, Emmy Rossum as Pam, Mark Ruffalo as Eric, Reed Diamond as Jason, Skeet Ulrich as Bill, and Kenneth Mitchell as Sam. I’m sure all those ages don’t match; that’s talking off the top of my head.

True Blood is, (and this is from wikipedia) a show based on Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire Mysteries and "details the co-existence of vampires and humans in Bon Temps, a fictional small Louisiana town. The series centers on Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress at a bar, who falls in love with vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer)."

Jason is Sookie's manwhore of a brother. Lol. (I've only watched handful of eps with not a lot of Jason in them, so this is just from what I've read around the net...)

I had this for a while. I've been meaning to look for Jason Stackhouse pictures to show how :OOOO this might be if they went with Charlaine Harris' casting choices.

Basing on what you've seen on the show, is Reed a good fit for Jason? Or will he be better off in another role, say, Eric?

Yeah. He actually shapeshifts into a dog, which of course tells you a bit about his character. He's Sookie's boss at the bar, and he looks out for her & watches over her, meanwhile nursing his seekrit crush. He's one of the few people whose thoughts she can't read (because of the shapeshifter thing), so he's actually kind of her refuge. For the first few books of the series, he's pretty mysterious, but even when Sookie finds out about his shapeshifting & his feelings, he tends not to push himself (& his feelings) on her like everyone else does.

And I can't believe I just wrote that much analysis for a supernatural erotica series. O___o

But, I'd go for either Sam or Eric. Eric preferably, because he'll at least get some sex'in.

Oh, yeah. I kinda went O_O with her choice for Eric. I can't see Mark Ruffalo as a viking. Lulz.
