Reed appears in this short directed by Brett Weiner for NY Times' OP-Docs. In this short, a transcript of a legal deposition is dramatized, wherein the plaintiff suing a lumber company for damaging his land and chicken coop gives a bizarre testimony about... well, chickens.

'Wayward Pines' to premiere on May 14, 2015

Fox has set the premiere of Wayward Pines on May 14, 2015 at 9 PM ET. It will be a worldwide event, launching in 125 countries on the same day.

The series is about a Secret Service Agent (Matt Dillon), who is searching for two missing federal agents in Wayward Pines. Reed plays Harold Ballinger.

We chat with Reed Diamond about his role as the season's Big Bad before Tuesday's Winter Finale!

The spectre of Daniel Whitehall and his machinations as part of Hydra has hung over Coulson’s team since the second season premiere of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Now, with the Winter Finale approaching this Tuesday, it appears as if the villain may finally have the opportunity to enact his “extinction level event” if S.H.I.E.L.D. can’t stop him in time.

Diamond relished the opportunity to play an out-and-out villain, bringing a measured menace to Whitehall that makes him all the more terrifying. Plus, as a longtime Marvel fan, he didn’t balk at the opportunity to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as this season’s Big Bad.

I think they skipped airing Franklin and Bash's penultimate episode of season four last week and aired it this week instead, with the season finale coming up next week.

Reed had a podcast with Steve Cooper at coopertalk.net. It's 60 minutes long and they talk about his previous roles on TV and film (including his indie film directed by Eric Stoltz), and his life as an actor. There are a lot of anecdotes. It's a fun and great listen :D

RD has been haunting my TV screen

For the past month, especially the second week of October, Reed Diamond has haunted my TV screen, most of which was self-induced though.

Since this comm tipped me off about RD's guest spot on the second episode of The Mentalist this season, and seeing its director was Robert Duncan McNeill, whose directing career I've been (more or less) following since his Voyager days, I gave it a shot, although I had never in my life watched an episode of that show before.

Next day, next show... After David Boreanaz' Twitter entry for the upcoming episode of Bones, I thought to myself "Why not?! As far as I know, their characters on the show were buddies so Reed Diamond's character won't be the bad guy."

Two days later I received my highly anticipated copy of Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing in the mail and immediately committed myself to watching.

Come the weekend, I was watching a random season four episode of Criminal Minds and burst out laughing when Reed Diamond's name was in the credits. I have been aware that he has had a guest appearance on that show at some point but to come across it that night was completely unexpected.

Jump to Tuesday evening (after having watched the complete set of extras from Much Ado About Nothing over the weekend), when I switched on my TV set, I accidentally stumbled across a rerun of Bones, and it just so happened to be the one with Reed Diamond that had been in the previously clips of 9.04.

I guess six appearances in nine days certainly qualifies as "haunting my TV screen"...
